More About Logic-Models™
What are some of
models?
There are more than 50 different logic-models™ that play a role in explaining accounting and financial concepts.
Some of these are interactive whereby the user can enter values into them and then see what the outcomes of the transactions are.
Others show where the values appear within the financial reports,
while some show how the value of money flows within the business.
The effects of different business decisions are visually depicted to help a user understand the financial consequences of their decisions.
Why move away from the traditional text book methodologies?
Many students respond better to visual images to remember a concept and where the interaction require input as well, the brain has been shown to retain and then recall the theoretical concepts far better than when a student merely reads about a topic.
Some students have also complained that accounting exercises are time consuming. hence, creating different instances of the concept at work is often avoided.
By making the model show the results of the exercise immediatley, students can go through more scenarios within a shorter period of time, while learning and seeing the theory in practice.
